Built in a Classroom. For Every Classroom.
Learning Wake wasn’t designed by a product team in a tech office. It was built by a teacher who got tired of watching students fall through the cracks of a spreadsheet.
The Problem I Couldn’t Stop Thinking About
After more than 20 years teaching CTE and Science at the high school level, I’d seen the same thing play out hundreds of times. A multi-week project assigned. Students nod along. Then three days before the deadline, you find out half the class never started.
The tools available to me were built for content delivery — not project accountability. Google Classroom is great for assignments. But there was nothing that gave me a real-time view of where every single student stood on a multi-step project, right now, without chasing them down individually.
So I started tracking everything in spreadsheets. Color-coded rows. Manual updates. Columns for each task. It worked — barely — and it took forever. Every time I updated it I thought: there has to be a better way.
Eventually I decided to build it myself. Not because I had a background in software — but because I knew exactly what a teacher actually needed, and I was tired of waiting for someone else to build it.
Learning Wake is the tool I wished existed when I started teaching. Every feature comes from a real classroom problem. Every decision gets filtered through one question: does this make a teacher’s job easier?

Who’s Behind Learning Wake
What Learning Wake Stands For
Teacher-First Design
Every feature starts with a real classroom problem. If it doesn’t make a teacher’s day easier, it doesn’t ship.
Student Privacy Above All
FERPA, COPPA, and California SOPIPA compliant. Student data is never sold, never used for advertising, never shared without consent.
Simple by Default
Teachers have enough complexity in their day. Learning Wake is designed to be up and running in under 10 minutes — no IT department required.
Honest and Transparent
No surprise fees. No bait-and-switch. No venture capital pressure to monetize your students’ data. Just a fair tool at a fair price.
Our Commitment to Schools
- Student data belongs to students and their schools — always. Learning Wake processes it only to provide the service.
- We will never sell student data to third parties or use it for advertising purposes.
- Schools can request a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) at any time — contact us and we’ll send one within 24 hours.
- Schools can request full deletion of their data at any time, no questions asked.
- Pricing is transparent and published publicly — no hidden fees, no surprise invoices.
- If something breaks, a real person who built the platform responds — not a support ticket queue.
